Have you ever found yourself cracking an egg and wistfully wondering what it would be like to have a source right out your back door, complete with contented hens, pecking, scratching and quietly clucking away?
Or maybe you've never thought about it all and suddenly it seems like a fantastical fun idea to have a couple pets in the backyard who actually produce something delicious and exciting, everyday!!!
In my dream of EVERYONE having a couple backyard hens, I've teamed up with a fantastic little company called Rent the Chicken and am now officially an affiliate, serving Prince Edward Island. Keep checking their website for info for PEI and next thing you know, you could have a couple of your very own sweet faced hens working for you in your backyard!

ps. Been having a lot of questions about predators and in particular, foxes, seeing as it is PEI. I can happily say that after year 1 of this crazy adventure, we had ZERO fox issues. The coops are designed to be as fox proof as possible, with the chickens going into a 'bedroom' for the night, but should predation occur while the chickens are in the coops, we will replace them.
utterly brilliant
ReplyDeleteI think that is so interesting!
